Short Holiday Plays sought

The New American Theatre is seeking short one act plays about one or more of the Fall and Winter holidays. We are looking for pieces about Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah or New Year’s Eve.

Unproduced Production in another area okay. One acts with simple staging requirements encouraged. The top plays will be presented in November and December at the McCadden Theatre in Hollywood and will be performed by our company of actors.

Please Submit: Full script, typed and securely bound; No contact info on script/separate title page with contact info; Letter-sized SASE for notification. Seeking one act plays (10-15 minutes maximum playing time) with a holiday theme. Each play must address itself to one or more of the Fall and Winter holidays. We are looking for pieces about Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah or New Year’s Eve.
Our goal is to present theatre which addresses the passionate struggle which continually challenges our ability to love and be loved in return. Nothing provokes that challenge more than the upcoming holidays. We are especially interested in plays which integrate humor into their stories.

Only those playwrights whose plays are selected as semi-finalists will be notified
