This December, Manhattan Repertory Theatre continues our celebration of 10 years of creating cutting-edge theatre and more in the heart of Times Square and we are celebrating by presenting a a HUGE 10th Anniversary HOLIDAY Event with Short Plays, Full-Length Plays, Dance pieces, Live Musical Acts,
Passionate Poetry Readings, and Performance Art.
There is NO FEE to submit and NO FEE to participate. This celebration event is FREE for artists to participate!
What we are looking for:
NEW, ORIGINAL, NEVER PRODUCED OR PERFORMED BEFORE:
- Short plays (7 - 40 minutes) - cast, directed, ready for performance!
- Full - Length Plays (41 - 90 Minutes) - cast, directed, ready to perform!
- Dance Pieces (2 - 15 minutes) -choreographed - rehearsed, ready to fly!
- Passionate Poetry Readings (3 - 8 minute set, performed by the poet!)
- Performance Art (3 - 10 minutes) - fully produced, ready to roll.
Live Musical Acts (20 minute set) to open up the shows.
(Music acts need not be new, original or Never produced before.)
Each play/dance/act/reading/presentation will be given at least 2 performances with a short tech and a full dress rehearsal with the other "acts" performing in a performance series.
We will run the Sound and lights for the Short Plays, Dance pieces, Live Musical acts, Passionate Poetry Readings and Performance Art.
The Full-Length Plays will be given a 2 hour Tech/ Dress weekend days or weeknights, and at least 2 performances. Full-Length plays will be responsible to bring in their own sound and light board operator.

The complete short play as a .pdf file. A synopsis of the short play, the running time of the short play, the set and tech requirements, the play's reading history (if it has been read and where) your postal address,and creative team leader email address.
For Dance pieces please email:
A synopsis of the Dance piece, the running time of the Dance piece, the set and tech requirements, your postal mail address, and creative team leader email address.
For Live Musical Acts please email :
A brief demo of your music, mp3 file or similar is fine. How many and what instruments are involved. your postal mail address and a "band" leader email address.
For Passionate Poetry submission:
The complete poetry you wish to present, your poetry performance history, your postal mail address, and your email address.
For Performance Art submission:
A synopsis of the the piece, the running time of the the piece, the set and tech requirements, your postal mail address, and creative team leader email address.

NON-EQUITY ONLY. THERE IS NO PAY.
Submissions will be accepted on a First-Come, First-Served basis. The earlier you submit the better chance you have of being accepted. If we fill up all the performance slots before Monday November 23, we will end submissions early, so please submit early so that you don't get closed out.
All performances will be at Manhattan Repertory Theatre, 303 W. 42nd St at 8th Ave.
