Bobby Sharp is a veteran stand-up comedian who's made a career working the Vegas casinos. Years of telling corny jokes to an unending parade of tourists, retirees and compulsive gamblers has landed him in a mental hospital with a nervous breakdown, where he visits with people from his past, his present and his imagination as he tries to reconcile the difference between being funny and being happy.
Written by Jim Geoghan, Emmy-nominated executive producer of Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody", Hysterical was chosen out of more than 100 plays as T. Schreiber's 2016 New Works Project. This workshop production debuts at the T. Schreiber Studio in New York City.
