This new class is for those with complete (or nearly complete!) first drafts who are ready to hear the play in full and embark on strategic rewrites.
Whether you choose to embark on a rewrite of your entire play or focus on individual scenes, writing exercises and in-class discussion will inspire you to ask new questions of your play, look at it from various angles, and deconstruct it with your fellow writers
Developing a strong portfolio of short plays is one of the fastest ways to become a produced or even published playwright. In this class, you’ll learn how not to waste a single word, cut mercilessly for the sake of the story, think outside of the box of structure, and have some fun.

In this 10-week class, you will apply the concepts of character development, visual storytelling, theme, plot, and dialogue to your own original script. Class time will be devoted to the development and discussion of new stories as well as screenplays-in-progress, with assignments and feedback tailored to the needs of your project.
This class is for playwrights who want the tools to transition from stage to screen. Writing for television has the potential to be not only artistically satisfying, but lucrative as well.
