London Horror Festival 2016

web site

Calling all writers! Creators of horror! Macabre storytellers! Nightmare sculptors!

Following the success of last year’s short play competition ‘It’s Not What It Seems…’, which crowned the beautifully disturbing psychological thriller ‘CHEW’ by Sarah Tejal Hamilton the winner, we are once again calling for playwrights of all abilities to submit a 10-15 minute script.

This year’s theme … BADASS WOMEN!

Give our female actors a leading role they can really sink their teeth into! Good or evil, we want to see women at the centre of the story, as highly developed characters and forces to be reckoned with.

Submissions are open from now until Sunday 31st July, after which the festival team willshortlist 3 plays to be staged by a professional cast and crew at The Old Red Lion Theatre, one of London’s top fringe venues and host of the London Horror Festival 2016. The plays will be performed on Monday 10th October and the winner will be picked on the night by a special guest judge and awarded with the opportunity to stage a fully developed production of their play!
