BingeTheatreCompany is accepting submissions

Facebook Page

#BingeTheatreCompany is accepting submissions for our premier digital series 46: The Landmark Series, a collection of new works about Oklahoma, the 46th state.

The Theme: 46: The Landmark Series

So what are we looking for? We want monologues, scenes, 10 minute plays, one acts, and full length plays about Oklahoma, the experiences of people in Oklahoma, what it's like being gay/trans/liberal/an immigrant/a migrant/of color etc. in Oklahoma, pieces about Oklahoma history, Oklahoma's future, a visitor's perspective on Oklahoma, things that the country should know about Oklahoma, fact or fiction, and everything in between. We aim to tell the real Oklahoma story, not the Rodgers and Hammerstein version of it. The selected works will receive a filmed reading in locations around the Northeastern part of Oklahoma and released on social media platforms.

The Goal: To give Oklahoma, its residents, and the issues Oklahomans face national attention.

The Deadlines: Submissions emailed to bingeads@gmail.com by midnight on Friday, June 29th.

Please title the email “46 Submission” and include: a PDF of the piece, your headshot, short bio, synopsis, and a short response explaining your connection, past or present to Oklahoma. Residency in Oklahoma is not required. Selected playwrights will be contacted by midnight on Friday, July 6th.

About #Binge: We are a digital incubator for new works. What that means is that we are the world's first strictly online theatre company. We produce new plays without the constraints of a physical theatre, and we release those showings for free on social media platforms because we believe that great art should be accessible to all--no matter where someone may be located. Furthermore, we are champions for marginalized artists, their stories, and their experiences. With our national platform, we aim to give those who have been historically/presently looked over a spotlight.
